The Unknown is dead. Long live Zuba Fear.
Something has changed.
If you’ve been with us since the beginning — thank you. You subscribed to The Unknown because you craved horror that actually disturbs you. Content that burrows under your skin and stays there. Not cheap jump scares. Not gratuitous gore for its own sake. The real stuff — psychological, atmospheric, unsettling.
That hasn’t changed. What has changed is everything around it.
After more than a year of building this newsletter, we’re officially joining something bigger. The Unknown is becoming Zuba Fear — the horror and dark fiction arm of Zuba, a new media brand built for people like you: fans who refuse to settle for lazy, uninspired genre content.
Why the change?
We’re not running from what The Unknown was. We’re running toward what it can become. As part of the Zuba family (alongside Zuba Realms for sci-fi/fantasy and Zuba Core for geek culture), Zuba Fear has the reach, the resources, and the platform to go deeper into the horror content you care about.
Zuba itself is part of Zuba Media, a new media venture under Pyrforos Technologies — which means dedicated resources, a long-term vision, and a real infrastructure behind everything we publish. For you, that simply means a better, more ambitious Zuba Fear.
There are also some business and legal housekeeping reasons behind the rename — the boring stuff that makes the good stuff possible. Rest assured, your subscription carries over automatically. You don’t need to do a thing.
What stays the same
Every week, we’ll still be in your inbox with the best horror, dark fiction, and psychological thriller content worth your time. Same commitment to intelligent, thought-provoking horror. Same refusal to waste your time with the predictable or the cheap.
What changes is the name on the door — and, honestly, our ambition.
Welcome to Zuba Fear.
We’re glad you’re here for it.
— The Zuba Fear Team
P.S. Stay tuned — there’s more coming from Zuba Fear very soon. Things are just getting started.
